Library: a collection - or archive - of information. Some examples include books- whether print or digital, articles, music collections, manuals, publications, and various other intellectual resources. The collections in a library can be public- typically provided by the government and managed by local communities, or private. Private libraries are often only available to subscribers.
Public libraries are often beneficial to those who cannot afford to maintain an extensive private collection of material. The comfort and peace a quiet library provides is conducive to the pursuit of knowledge.
